Read Matthew 7:24-29 ESV

1.Based on the Bible’s teaching, how can a person know for sure that he/she is truly a Christian?

2.Would you characterize your life as being built on sand or on the rock? How do you know for sure?

3.Read Psalm 40:1-5. What encouragements do you see in these verses? How do they relate to Matthew 7:24-29?

4.What goes through your mind as you think about the final judgement (the storm of verses 25 & 27)? Does that thought produce fear or joy?

5.Would you describe your faith as “active and growing” or “inactive and stagnant”? Briefly explain.

6.Why do you think ongoing trust and obedience are crucial in the life of a Christian?

7.Read Matthew 5:1-7:29. How has the Sermon on the Mount impacted your faith in Christ and brought clarity to the gospel of Jesus Christ?
