Sunday’s Message – Sometimes the idea of God’s wrath confuses us. We have questions like, “how can God be loving and have wrath?” Some people deny this idea because they don’t understand it. The theologian Richard Niebuhr once said, “A God without wrath brought men without sin into a Kingdom without judgment through a ministry of a Christ without a Cross.” The Scriptures are clear, though, that God’s wrath is real. He is the Judge of the whole earth and sees all. Just think about when you see injustice and the devastating effects of sin. What is your response to that? Romans 1 helps us to grasp and understand God’s wrath and how to avoid it in Christ.
