“Come, follow me,”
—Mark 1:17a NIV
The wrong change feels like help until it proves fatal!
The beginning of the good news about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God…
— Mark 1:1 NIV
9 At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. 10 Just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. 11 And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”
— Mark 1:9-11 NIV)
Change returns to the point of His voice in my life.
12 At once the Spirit sent him out into the wilderness, 13 and he was in the wilderness forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and angels attended him.
— Mark 1:12-13 NIV)
Change doesn’t take long before it faces adversity.
It is desperation for God that creates revelation about God!
Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you, in order to know what was in your heart whether you would keep his commandments or not…
— Deuteronomy 8:2 NIV
For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning.
— Hebrew 4:15 Amp Classic
Disobedience is the best way to delay your destiny.
Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord…
— Acts 3:19 NIV
14 After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. 15 “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”
— Mark 1:14,15 NIV
