One Man, One Faith

Romans 4:1-12

God is a promise-keeper! There are over 8,000 promises in the Bible. God in His infinite power demonstrates that He can be trusted. God wants His people to live by faith and learn to trust in His promises, therefore life may take what looks like a detour for us, but God has a perfect promise planned for us. Abraham was a man who learned by faith about God’s faithfulness and promises.

God gives…
Purpose
“As the scripture says, Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness.” v3
Promise
“Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord will never count against him.” v8

God’s promises are often:
Different than you pictured
Slower than you wanted
Farther than you thought

Action Points:
Keep your spiritual eyes on Jesus
Position “safe people” around you
Stay in the “Word of God”
Obey the Spirit promptly
