Good morning and Happy New Year, Family!
As we stand at the starting line of 2025,
we are filled with a sense of hope
and anticipation.
The start of a new year is a gift
from God—an opportunity
to reset, refocus, and realign our lives
with His purpose.
It is a time to leave behind the burdens of the past
and embrace the promises of the future.

“Do you see what this means—
all these pioneers who blazed the way,
It means we’d better get on with it.
Strip down, start running—and never quit!
No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins.
Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished
Study how He did it.
Because He never lost sight of where He was headed—
He could put up with anything
along the way: Cross, shame, whatever.
And now He’s there, in the place of honor,
When you find yourselves flagging in your faith,
go over that story again, item by item,
He plowed through.
That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!”

—Hebrews 12:1-3 MSG

“But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.”
—Isaiah 40:31 NLT

Let me ask you: What are you hoping for in 2025?
What changes do you long to see in your life, your family,
or your relationship with God?
As we explore today’s message, I pray you’ll find encouragement
to move forward with faith, hope, and love.

TEXT

“Devote yourselves to prayer
with an alert mind and a thankful heart.
Pray for us, too, that God will give us many opportunities
to speak about His mysterious plan concerning Christ.
That is why I am here in chains.
Pray that I will proclaim this message
as clearly as I should.”
—Colossians 4:2-4 NLT

“I always thank my God when I pray for you, Philemon,
because I keep hearing about your faith in the Lord Jesus
and your love for all of God’s people.
And I am praying that you will put into action
the generosity that comes from your faith
as you understand and experience
all the good things we have in Christ.”
—Philemon 1:4-6 NLT

“Don’t worry about anything;
instead, pray about everything.
Tell God what you need,
and thank Him for all He has done.
Then you will experience God’s peace,
which exceeds anything we can understand.
His peace will guard your hearts
and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”
—Philippians 4:6-7 NLT
