MAIN IDEA:
God intimately knows us, fulfilling our deepest longing to be seen, known and accepted. In knowing everything about us, God sees our best and our worst and He loves us the same. Being fully known by Him is no reason to be fearful for being exposed; it is a loving invitation to get real with God about ourselves.
1. INTRODUCTION:

that offer us language that we can use to our deepest and to God.

Psalms are songs that offer us language that we can use to express our deepest thoughts and emotions to God.
a. What psalms have been particularly helpful for you to express your thoughts and emotions to God?
b. How have these psalms helped you in the season(s) you were in at the time?
We learn from Psalm 139 that God intimately and completely knows each of us. In fully knowing us, God fulfills our deepest longing to be seen, known and accepted.
a) What are ways in which you seek to fulfill your longing to be seen, known and accepted outside of God? Why do you think you are clinging to these things to find fulfillment?
b) What does being intimately and completely known by God mean to you?
c) How does the reality that God knows everything about you – your actions, thoughts and motives – affect the way you relate to Him?
Read Psalm 139:7-10. God is an ever-present God. Wherever you are and wherever you will be going, He is always there.
a) When you look back on this week, how have you noticed God’s presence?
b) How does knowing that God will be there wherever you go help you to shape your view of an unknown future?
Read Psalm 139:23-24. A proper response to being fully known by an ever-present God is to get real with Him about ourselves.
a) In what ways might you be hiding aspects of yourself from God, even unintentionally?
b) What would it look like for you to “get real” with Him?
