“Followers Now Become the Body of Christ”

ekklēsia: gathering or assembly of .

Ephesians 2:11
Do not forget that at one time you did not know God.

This world is so .

Ephesians 2:12
You were living without Christ then. The Jewish who people belonged to God had nothing to do with you. The promises He gave to them were not for you. You had nothing in this world to hope for.

Ephesians 2:13a
But now you belong to Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 2:14
We have peace because of Christ. He has made the Jews and those who are not Jesus one people. He broke down the wall that divided them. He stopped the fighting between them by His death on the cross.

Ephesians 2:19
From now on you are not strangers and people who are not citizens. You are citizens together with those who belong to God. You belong in God’s family.

Ephesians 3:6
Let me tell you that the Good News is for the people who are not Jews also. They are able to have life that lasts forever. They are able to be a part of His Church and family, together with the Jews. And together they are to receive all that God has promised through Christ.

John 17:21
May they all be as one, Father, as You are in Me and I am in you. May they belong to Us. Then the world will believe that You sent Me.

Our unity affects Jesus’ .

Unity in the body either points people to Jesus or turns them away.

What walls have I built that me from my fellow believers?

Ephesians 3:14
When I think of all this, I kneel and pray to the Father, 15the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth.

Ephesians 3:16-21
16 I pray that from His glorious, unlimited resources He will empower you with the inner strength through His spirit. 17 Then Christ will make His home in your hearts as you trust in Him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. 18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. 19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. 20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through His might power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. 21 Glory to Him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.
