- Matthew 22:37-39 – 37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with
all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And
the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
We want to experience the
Isaiah 53:3-5:
3 He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. 4 Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. 5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
I: Jesus faced

-Luke 23:2 – “We have found this man subverting our nation. He opposes payment of taxes
to Caesar and claims to be Messiah, a king.”
III: Jesus brough
-Isaiah 53:5 – the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
