EASTER BEFORE & AFTER ACTS 4 & 5
Four characteristics of resurrection-fueled people:
1.
When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus. Acts 4:13
“…we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.” Acts 4:20

QUESTIONS
For reflection or discussion
1. Would you call yourself courageous or cautious? Read Acts 4:1–22. Why do you think the resurrection of Jesus turned Peter and John from fearful to courageous? How can it have the same effect on you?
2. Read Acts 4:32–37. What characterizes the believers in these verses? Why would the resurrection have made them suddenly more generous? How can it have the same effect on you? Look for ways to show compassion today.
3. What is the difference between hope and wishful thinking? Read Romans 8:11,18–25. How does the resurrection of Jesus give hope?
Read 1 Corinthians 13. Next weekend we begin a series in what many consider the most famous chapter in the Bible! Do you think people today need to relearn these characteristics of love? Which is most challenging for you?
