Living It Out This Week
A new year has begun, and we are excited about what lies ahead. Maybe we are just hoping this year is better than 2023. We need constant reminders of the Gospel of Jesus in order to live differently in 2024 than the world around us. May these passages help start 2024 centered on Christ.
Sunday-1 Corinthians 15.1-11: Paul reminds them of that which they have received. When did you receive the Gospel for the first time? Pray for Christ to help you remember well.
Monday-Matthew 7.24-27: Is the Gospel of Jesus the foundation you have built life upon? The Gospel is not just a believe in Jesus it is living out what Jesus teaches.
Tuesday-1 Corinthians 1.18-2.5: The Gospel will not make sense to the world and the world’s values. Yet, this is the power. Pray for wisdom in sharing the Gospel as well as remembering the Gospels counter-cultural power.
Wednesday-1 Corinthians 2.6-17: The Gospel gives us a hope for the present and knowledge of the future. The Spirit teaches and gives us the mind of Christ. How are you living like Jesus?
Thursday-1 Corinthians 10.24-27: The Gospel does not allow us to sit back and wait for Jesus’ coming; no, we must actively pursue Jesus. Being saved demands a response. What is Jesus asking you to do because of His Gospel?
Friday-Acts 1.1-11: The disciples wanted to know about the end times. Jesus told them to be His witness. Jesus promised, and fulfilled His promise, to give them power. Pray you will be empowered by Jesus this year.
Saturday-John 3.30: Join us in worship tomorrow! Pray for our worship tomorrow. Pray that our eyes would see the Lord! Invite someone to church.
