Giving Manna

Peace despite Great Ambiguities

Luke 21:26
26 men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. NKJV

In 2020, the worldwide prevalence of anxiety and depression increased by a massive 25%. WHO

John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. NKJV

With each passing day, we learn of new reasons for fear and unrest amidst great ambiguities. Yet Jesus says you can have great peace amidst the unrest and He demonstrated it.

1. See what He

Matt 14:22-26
Immediately Jesus made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, while He sent the multitudes away. 23 And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. Now when evening came, He was alone there. 24 But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, tossed by the waves, for the wind was contrary. 25 Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. 26 And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear. NKJV

When we see the wrong thing, and imagine the wrong thing and we lose our peace and well-being!

Beyond the is a place of abundance

Matt 14:34
When they had crossed over, they landed at Gennesaret.

God doesn’t send storms and we don’t have to look for it. But when it comes, God is able to turn it around and turn it into stepping-stones to draw us closer to our destiny.

Storms will come. But when they do, filter them through the promises of God. And since His promises are unbreakable, your hope will be unshakable. Max Lucado

27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” NKJV

Exo 3:11-14
11 But Moses said to God, “Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the people out of Egypt?” 12 And God said, “I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.” 13 Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the people and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?” 14 God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the people: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”

Heb 1:2-3
2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. 3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word.
