47 percent of Americans under 30 years old reported feeling “down, depressed, or hopeless,” at least several days in the last two weeks.
Big Idea: The name of Jesus doesn’t always change the world, but it can and does bring hope to all the world.
Big Question: Why is there hope in the name of Jesus?
Main Scripture: Matthew 12:15-21
But Jesus knew what they were planning. So he left that area, and many people followed him. He healed all the sick among them, 16 but he warned them not to reveal who he was. 17 This fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah concerning him: 18 “Look at my Servant, whom I have chosen. He is my Beloved, who pleases me. I will put my Spirit upon him, and he will proclaim justice to the nations. —Matthew 12:15-18
The phrase refers to the announcement of Jesus as the “true way of God.” The way of salvation - the way to Heaven.
Why is there hope in the name of Jesus?
1.) He saves us from our sins.
