Three problems resulting from unresolved conflict:
• It blocks my fellowship with God.
• It blocks my prayers from being answered.
• It blocks my happiness!
“Those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.” James 3:18 (NLT)
HOW TO BE A PEACEMAKER
1 . MAKE THE FIRST MOVE
23 So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. Matthew 5:23-24 (ESV)
2 . I BEGIN WITH WHAT’S MY
Do you know where your fights and arguments come from? They come from the selfish desires that war within you. James 4:1 (NCV)

“Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? …You hypocrite! First, take the wood out of your own eye. Then you will see clearly to take the dust out of your friend’s eye.” Matthew 7:3,5 (ESV)
3 . SPEAK THE TRUTH
“…speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ,” Ephesians 4:25 (NLT)
“… be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.” James 1:19 (NLT)
“Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 2:4-5 (NIV)
“Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.” Proverbs 12:18 (NIV)
“Do not use harmful words, but only helpful words, the kind that build up and provide what is needed, so that what you say will do good to those who hear you.” Ephesians 4:29 (TEV)
4 . FIX THE
“You must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.”

5 . FOCUS ON
“Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her…Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” Ephesians 5:25,31 (ESV)
18 All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.
20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
