Pvb. 22:5-16, 2 Cor. 1-6, Psalm 41-46, Job 23-Eccl.3

2 Corinthians 1:8-9 We think you ought to know, dear brothers and sisters, about the trouble we went through in the province of Asia. We were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure, and we thought we would never live through it. In fact, we expected to die.

2 Corinthians 1:15-17 I wanted to give you a double blessing by visiting you twice – first on my way to Macedonia and again when I returned from Macedonia. Then you could send me on my way to Judea. You may be asking why I changed my plan.

John 3:7-8 (NIV&PPV) …the Spirit gives birth to spirit…The Spirit (wind) blows wherever He (it) pleases. You hear His (its) sound, but you cannot tell where He (it) comes from or where He (it) is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.

  • The unpredictable and unavoidable curve balls of life are not the anomaly, but .

When desperately wanting an answer from the Lord and all I hear is crickets, it may mean…

Processing the unknown:

2 Corinthians 1:4-6 He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with His comfort through Christ. Even when we are weighed down with troubles, it is for your comfort and salvation! For when we ourselves are comforted, we will certainly comfort you.

Psalm 42:1-6,11 & 43:5 As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God. I thirst for God, the living God. When can I go and stand before Him? Day and night I have only tears for food, while my enemies continually taunt me, saying, “Where is this God of yours?” My heart is breaking…Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise Him again-my Savior and my God!
