Introit |

Call to Worship (Psalm 84:1, 2, 4)
Leader:My soul longs, yes, faints for the courts of the Lord;
People: My heart and flesh sing for joy to the living God.
Leader: Blessed are those who dwell in your house,ever singing your praise!
All: Let us worship the Lord!

Hymn | “Crown Him with Many Crowns”

Prayer of Confession (unison)
Keep us, Lord, on your narrow path. For wide is the gate and easy the path that leads to destruction, and we too often follow it. We follow the path of anger, the path of pride, the path of lust, the path of self-righteousness–and these lead toward the destruction of our relationships, our witness, and our souls.

Forgive our wanderings. Restore us to your narrow path, the path of faith, hope, and love in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Silent Prayer

Assurance of Pardon (Psalm 103:8-12)
Leader: The Lord is merciful and gracious,slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
People: He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities.
Leader: For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him;
People:As far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our guilt from us.
Leader: In Christ we are forgiven!
All: Thanks be to God.

Gloria Patri

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end, Amen. Amen.

Prayers of the People & The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed by Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil; for Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever, Amen.

Affirmation of Faith (Apostles’ Creed)
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth,and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from there he shall come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting.
