A Little Primer

• There’s no shortage of confusion and even chaos associated with matters of the Holy Spirit.

• Failure to address the Holy Spirit leads to an under-appreciation for the person, power, and presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives and churches – as well as a lack of expectation.

John 6:63 (NIV)
“The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing.”

• Our understanding and discernment of the Holy Spirit must be influenced more by God’s Word than others’ distortions.

John 16:7 (NIV)
But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.
