“The Lampstand: Because We are Not Alone”
Exodus 25:31-40
Series:** Encountering God in a Tent**
What the Tabernacle Tells Us About Grace
Darkness can stir a lot of emotions in our lives. One is the feeling of being alone or even abandoned. Inside the Holy Place of the Tabernacle, God provided an image, a symbol, of His presence. It came in the form of a lampstand. This lampstand foreshadows not just God’s presence, but so much more.
After the welcome at the gate, the sacrifice at the altar, and the cleansing at the bronze basin, the priests would draw closer to God by way of the light from the lampstand.
