Psalm 18 Twice David called on the Lord (vs 3 & vs 6) – he was under attack. His enemies surrounding him coming in to destroy him….BUT HE KNEW WHO TO CALL!
Psalm 18:42 “I beat them as fine as wind-blown dust!”
David called on the Lord and the Lord heard him and delivered him and gave him victory over his enemies!
Genesis 4 After Cain murdered Abel; Adam and Eve had another son named Seth and he had a son named Enosh
Genesis 4:26 “At that time people began to Call on the Name of the Lord!”
Genesis 12:8 Abram built an altar and “Called on the Name of the Lord.”
Romans 10:13 and Acts 2:21 Salvation comes to those who call of the Name of the Lord
Acts 4:12 “God has given no other Name under heaven by which we must be saved.”
Salvation Comes
Romans 10:9 “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Saved From What?
a. An eternity separated from God!
b. Salvation in our times of distress through this life!
Peace Comes
Psalm 91:14-15 “Because He loves me, says the Lord, I will rescue him.”
Victory Comes
