Luke 2:9-11
And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord

Our worldview represents what we believe about reality and therefore drives how we think, speak, and act.

4 Dominant Worldviews:

The Biblical Worldview:
Based on the teachings of the Bible. Includes Christianity and Judaism

The Eastern Worldview:
Buddhism, Hinduism, New Age spiritualism, etc.

The Humanist Worldview:
Atheism, Materialism, Humanism, etc.

The Islamic Worldview:
Based on the Quran and Hadith.

Matthew 5:14-16
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

Our lives should be proof that the Christian Worldview is true.

Proverbs 4:18
But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn,
That shines brighter and brighter until the full day.

John 10:10
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

Nehemiah 8:10
Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

Our worldview should cause us to be full of hope and joy no matter our circumstances.

Psalm 23:1-6
The LORD is my shepherd,
I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside quiet waters.
He restores my soul;
He guides me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil, for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You have anointed my head with oil;
My cup overflows.
Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life,
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

… And, while the mortal mist is gathering, draws
His breath in confidence of Heaven’s applause:
This is the happy Warrior; this is he
That every man in arms should wish to be. —Character of the Happy Warrior - William Wordsworth
