Title: It is Finished
Text: John 19:28-30

Many people have questions about the gospel? Is Jesus enough? Is what Jesus did at Calvary enough for me? I want to share just a part of what Jesus accomplished for you and me at Calvary. When Jesus cried out “it is finished” on the cross… He accomplished and fulfilled many things.

Jesus, while hanging on the cross and breathing his last breath cried out “it is finished!” The Greek word tetelestai- complete; finished or accomplished. I want to discuss this morning a little about what Jesus meant by these words “it is finished.” And what that means for us.

   Moral Law- Sinless Life- (2 Cor 5:21, Romans 3:23)

   Leviticus Law- Priesthood- (Heb 7:23-24, Heb 4:15,)

   Prophets- Prophesy- (John 1:1-4, 14)

   Reveal Answer
   the penalty for sin in full (1 Peter 2:24, Eph 2:4-5)

Satan’s power of sin and death ( 1Cor 15:55-57, Rom 5:10, Col 1:13)
