• What discourages you today? Where are you disappointed? What comfort can you glean from God’s response to Moses in this chapter?

• The people did not listen to these words because their spirits were broken and their situation was difficult. Hardships and discouragement can make us deaf to God’s promises. Evaluate your life and ask: is there anywhere this has happened to you?

• Moses fears that no one will listen to him. This is a prominent fear for Christians in sharing our faith, as we fear no one will actually listen to the words we have to say. What strength can we receive from this passage to encourage us to speak up?
