2. God Provides For Salvation:
a. Through His
Genesis 50:19-20, “But Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God? You planned evil against me; God planned it for good to bring about the present result—the survival of many people.”
b. By His
Foreknew, “προγινώσκω”, To know (ref. to something) or To choose beforehand (ref. to someone). In context, “choose beforehand” because of the preface. (BDAG, 3rd edition, Bauer and Danker)
Predestined, ““προορίζω”, decide upon beforehand, predetermine, of God…” (BDAG, 3rd edition, Bauer and Danker)

c. By His
John 15:14-16, “You are my friends if you do what I command you. I do not call you servants anymore, because a servant doesn’t know what his master, is doing. I have called you friends, because I have made known to you everything I have heard from my Father. You did not choose me, but I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce fruit and that your fruit should remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he will give you.”
3. God’s Provision Changes Everything:
a. We Are Eternally Secure in Him. (Vs. 31-34, Rev 12:10, Heb 7:22-25, John 16:32-33)
Revelation 12:10, “Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say, The salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have now come, because the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been thrown down.”
Hebrews 7:22-25, “Because of this oath, Jesus has also become the guarantee of a better covenant. Now many have become Levitical priests, since they are prevented by death from remaining in office. But because he remains forever, he holds his priesthood permanently. Therefore, he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, since he always lives to intercede for them.”
John 16:32-33, “Indeed, an hour is coming, and has come, when each of you will be scattered to his own home, and you will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me. I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world.””
b. We Are Eternally
Ephesians 6:12, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this darkness, against evil, spiritual forces in the heavens.”
Ephesians 1:20-21, “He exercised this power in Christ by raising him from the dead and seating him at his right hand in the heavens—far above every ruler and authority, power and dominion, and every title given,, not only in this age but also in the one to come.”
