Discuss:
Have you ever been caught in a storm (literal or figurative) that left you feeling scared or helpless? What happened—and how did you respond?

Why do you think Jesus intentionally led his disciples into the storm? What does that reveal about his leadership and purpose?

What does the disciples’ question in verse 38—“Do you not care that we are perishing?”—tell us about their understanding of Jesus? How does the disciples’ fear change from before the storm was calmed (v. 40) to after (v. 41)? Why is that shift significant?

Apply:
What storm are you facing right now—physically, emotionally, relationally, or spiritually?

What are you afraid of losing, or not getting back?

What has your fear made you believe about Jesus?

Who do you believe Jesus truly is—and what would it look like to trust him in this specific area of your life?

Commit:
This week, identify one area where fear has been louder than faith—and intentionally entrust it to Jesus in prayer, asking him to calm your heart even if the storm doesn’t stop.
