Luke 5:15-16 But despite Jesus’ instructions, the report of His power spread even faster, and vast crowds came to hear Him preach and to be healed of their diseases. But Jesus often withdrew to the wilderness for prayer.
- The
Mark 1:32-34 …many sick and demon-possessed people were brought to Jesus. The whole town gathered at the door to watch. So Jesus healed many people who were sick with various diseases, and He cast out many demons.
Mark 1:35 (NIV) Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where He prayed.
- Wilderness = isolated, uncomfortable,
Luke 9:10 (NKJV) And the apostles, when they had returned, told Him all that they had done. Then He took them and went aside privately into a deserted place belonging to the city called Bethsaida.
John 11:45 & 54 Many of the people who were with Mary believed in Jesus when they saw this happen. …As a result, Jesus stopped His public ministry among the people and left Jerusalem. He went to a place near the wilderness… and stayed there with His disciples.
