Food for Thought
What do I instinctively turn to when I feel disturbed?
Before I pray, before I remember, where does my heart go for comfort? Is it helping or numbing? What has God done in the past that I need to remember today? Think about your own story or someone else’s, and recall how God came through. Write it down. Share it with someone.
Is there a gap right now between what I believe about God and what I feel? Where am I struggling to trust? What am I tempted to let feelings redefine?
When was the last time my prayers didn’t match my theology and how did I respond?
Did you feel guilty for feeling that way? Did you try to fix it yourself or hide it from God? What would it look like to bring that raw honesty to Jesus, the One who already carried all your guilt and shame to the cross?
