Psalm 23:5a
5a Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
IF you feel like your life is surrounded by “enemies” and you see people as “enemies”…YOU WILL MAKE FIGHTING PEOPLE VIRTUOUS!
YOU will NOT received the fullness of all the goodness of God until you are capable of realizing the enemies around you need to be freed and fed…
People think being saved means “God will deliver me from my enemies!”
God is actually going to sit them down with a place right next to you.
DOUBLE VISION - means there are two realities going on right now:
The natural and the spiritual.
Ephesians 6:12
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Matthew 13:9
9 Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Psalm 23:5b
5b “you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows”
THIS IS AFTER YOU DECIDE TO SIT and ALLOW GOD TO USE YOUR LIFE TO BLESS THE PEOPLE YOU THOUGHT WERE ENEMIES.
The purpose of the anointing -
It is the burden removing yoke, destroying power of God.
- God puts you in places with people that can seem to be your enemy to break the yoke off of their life!
My cup runs over - Overflow was never meant to be yours.
Overflow is for the people around you.
- For some of the difficult people around you (that seem to be your enemies); God wants you to live in fullness. And to be so full that the people around you end up being blessed.
Psalm 23:5 - 6
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
Proverbs 30:13 - 15
13 There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up.
14 There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.
15 The horseleach hath two daughters, crying, Give, give. There are three things that are never satisfied, yea, four things say not, It is enough:”
There are people in this generation:
- whose teeth like swords… jaw teeth like knives ~ the NEEDY…
- leachers saying… ~ I need more more more more from you…
THEY MAY BE VAMPIRES…
Vampires have one thing in common:
They cannot create or sustain their own life force in any positive manner.
So they latch on and feed off on others, slowly sucking the life out of them.
THE DEVIL DID NOT CREATE THIS MEAL!! JESUS DID!
But as Jesus prepares – the devil perverts
Easier than ever—Politics—Racial division—
Ruin marriages—Split churches
Get them mad about anything culture!
THIS MEAL IS NOT MADE BY THE ENEMY
He tried to pervert it… he wants to make a 3D print of the real thing.
OFFENSE CANNOT STOP THE PARTY FROM HAPPENING…
BUT OFFENCE CAN STOP YOU FROM ENJOYING THE WINE!
Three Vampires:
- THE CONTROLLING DEMANDER
- THE CRITICAL DOWNER
- THE CONSTANT DRAINER
CONTROLLING DEMANDER - a control freak
- THE CONTROLLING VAMPIRE HAS 2 WEAPONS: THREATS and GUILT.
Matthew 16:21 - 24
21 From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.
22 Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.
23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.
24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
FIGHTTHEBITE!
1. KNOW WHAT YOU ARE
2 Peter 1:10
10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
CALLING - Know what you are called to do. You may not know everything, but you know something..
ELECTION - salvation. Knowing that you are saved.
Knowing Heaven is your culture/environment.
KNOW WHAT YOU ARE CALLED TO.
KNOW THAT HEAVENS-WAY IS YOUR FOCUS.
EVERY CONTROLLING VAMPIRE HAS 1 THING IN COMMON:
“a person who allows it”.
2. KNOW WHEN SOMEONE IS TRYING TO
Controlling people will try to isolate you to get you to agree with their stance…
Controlling people will USE THREATS to try to control you:

Matthew 16:22 - 23a

23a But he turned, and said unto Peter, GET BEHIND ME… SATAN!:
When someone is not getting their way and they resort to shouting - withdraw - and become critical: Our stance should be:
- “Not to accept the disrepect, anger, or the tone.”
- When parents give in… they allow them to become vampires…
IF YOU GIVE IN TO A CONTROLLING VAMPIRE -
GOD IS NO LONGER DIRECTING YOU - THEY ARE.
CRITICAL DOWNER
- CRITICAL MEANS - People talk about
- what they do not like about your style, your family,
- how you walk, how tall you are, what you believe, etc. etc.
- what they do not like about you…
John 15:18 - 19 NLT
18 If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first.
19 The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer part of the world. I chose you to come out of the world, so it hates you.
IF YOU FOLLOW JESUS - CRITICAL VAMPIRES WILL SHOW UP.

23 He did not retaliate when he was insulted, nor threaten revenge when he suffered. He left his case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly.
TRUST GOD TO CONTROL YOUR TEMPER WHEN PEOPLE ARE MEAN AND INCONSIDERATE.
Proverbs 19:11
11 Sensible people control their temper; they earn respect by overlooking wrongs.
OUR JOB IS TO OBEY GOD - NOT TO ANSWER OUR CRITICS.

Judges 8:1 - 2 NLT
1 Then the people of Ephraim asked Gideon, “Why have you treated us this way? Why didn’t you send for us when you first went out to fight the Midianites?” And they argued heatedly with Gideon.
2 But Gideon replied, “What have I accomplished compared to you? Aren’t even the leftover grapes of Ephraim’s harvest better than the entire crop of my little clan of Abiezer?
3 God gave you victory over Oreb and Zeeb, the commanders of the Midianite army. What have I accomplished compared to that?” When the men of Ephraim heard Gideon’s answer, their anger subsided.
- When emotions are high - your wisdom is low.
- You are never called to react..
WE MUST GUARD OUR HEARTS FROM HAVING OFFENSE!
Proverbs 4:23
23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
KEEP means to guard like a sentinel. = a watchman on the wall who would not let just anyone come into the castle!
GUARD = “guarding” your heart is setting boundaries around it.
To #FIGHTTHEBITE from a critical vampire:
You must have a deep and grounded place in who you are in Christ.
Who I am matters more than what they think.
CONSTANT DRAINER
COMPLICATED RELATIONSHIP WITH THIS VAMPIRE…
1. ONLY GIVE
- DISCERN WHAT THEY NEED.
Acts 3:3 - 5
3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.
4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.
5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.
6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
2. ONLY TRUST GOD
Proverbs 3:5 - 6
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
3. KNOW that PEOPLE ARE NOT
God prepared a place for us here with difficult people.
- He placed us here to love vampires - with boundaries.
- To point them to the answer… not to become their answer.
Psalm 23:5
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
ANOINTING = The shepherds would place oil on the head of the sheep in order to keep the flies and gnats and bugs out of the nose…
Beelzebub (I KNOW IT FROM BOHE RHAP) = the lord of the flies…
HE WANTS TO TAKE YOU DOWN; to lay eggs in your brain...
- make you think you can never
- make you think you are just a sinner…
- make you think no one is on your side.
THE ANOINTING WILL NOT ALLOW THE FLY TO LAND!
When God’s goodness and mercy showed up as a manifestation -
IT OVERFLOWED!
GOD WILL USE YOUR LIFE TO BLESS YOUR HATERS!
Psalm 23:6
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
GOODNESS = tobe - blessings, prosperity, pleasure, good things.
MERCY = kah-sed - favor!
Goodness and mercy are always FOLLOWING GOD…
FOLLOW GOD!
WHEN OUR LIFE IS FOCUSED ON FOLLOWING THE SHEPHERD,
KNOW THAT GOODNESS AND MERCY SHALL FOLLOW THEE…
- WHEN YOU ARE IN THE SEAT GOD PREPARED.
- WHEN YOU ARE ANOINTED IN YOUR PLACE.
- WHEN YOU ARE IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD!
WHEN YOU ARE SEEKING FOR GOOD STUFF, WHEN YOU ARE TRYING TO WORK FOR MERCY: you will NOT make it.
