Week 1: The Myth

Question: What story do you want to tell with your relationships?

2 Relational Myths:
1. The Right Person Myth – When I find the “right person” everything will be alright.

2. The Promise Myth – All I need for a successful relational future is a promise.

When it comes to relationships, commitment is overrated.

If you aren't preparing you won't be prepared.

Following Jesus will help you become the “right person.”

Question: Are you the person, the person you’re looking for is looking for?

John 15:1
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.”

John 15:1-2
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no
fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.

John 15:4
4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the
