True Identity, Week 2 – In Christ, You are Chosen and Adopted
Ephesians 1:4-6,11-12

1. In Christ, You Are CHOSEN (4,11) – for he chose us in him before the creation of the world (Also 1 Peter 2:9, John 15:16, 1 Cor. 1:27)

• The Bible teaches that if you are in Christ today, it is because God was looking for you and not because you were looking for God.
• The Bible teaches that God desires ALL to be saved and that men/women do have free will. (Romans 10:13, 2 Peter 3:9, John 3:16, Romans 10:9-10)
• The Bible teaches that God Decides WHEN someone can be saved, and that when God calls - that it the time to respond. (John 6:44, Mark 3:28-29)

2. In Christ, You are ADOPTED – for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ

• It means you are no longer a part of your old family in any way.
• It means you became an heir to your new Father’s estate.
• It means your old life has been completely erased.
