Then the Lord told me: I will give you my message in the form of a vision. Write it clearly… —Habakkuk 2:2 (CEV)

When you… Vision will…

SevenEIGHT Perspectives for Clear Vision

    Vision:

1. Comes from God

2. Connects me to God’s will for my life

3. Corresponds with God’s perfect timing

4. Clarifies my path

After Lot separated from him, God said to Abram, “Open your eyes, look around. Look north, south, east, and west. Everything you see, the whole land spread out before you, I will give to you and your children forever. I’ll make your descendants like dust—counting your descendants will be as impossible as counting the dust of the Earth. So—on your feet, get moving! Walk through the country, its length and breadth; I’m giving it all to you.” —Genesis 13:14-17 (MSG)

Clarify - to make understandable. to make or become clear or easy to understand

  • Vision makes my path in life easier to understand by making what God wants me to do easy and obvious

  • My assignment, instruction, or task will not always be EASY but vision makes the way clear

We must focus on Jesus, the source and goal of our faith. He saw the joy ahead of him, so he endured death on the cross and ignored the disgrace it brought him. Now he holds the honored position—the one next to God the Father on the heavenly throne. —Hebrews 12:2 (GW)

  • Given a clear path, I must merely trust to overcome it being challenging

Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know. Remember the Lord in everything you do, and he will show you the right way. —Proverbs 3:5-6 (GNT)

Truth’s shining light guides me in my choices and decisions; the revelation of your word makes my pathway clear. —Psalms 119:105 (TPT)

Why does the challenging path get such a bad rap?

Does it feel that the path is challenging because maybe God doesn’t have all the facts?

A disciple named Ananias lived in the city of Damascus. The Lord said to him in a vision, “Ananias!”
Ananias answered, “Yes, Lord.”
The Lord told him, “Get up! Go to Judas’ house on Straight Street, and ask for a man named Saul from the city of Tarsus. He’s praying. In a vision he has seen a man named Ananias place his hands on him to restore his sight.”
Ananias replied, “Lord, I’ve heard a lot of people tell about the many evil things this man has done to your people in Jerusalem. Saul has come here to Damascus with authority from the chief priests to put anyone who calls on your name in prison.
The Lord told Ananias, “Go! I’ve chosen this man to bring my name to nations, to kings, and to the people of Israel. —Acts 9:10-15 (GW)

5. Calls and Commissions me to the work of the kingdom (of God)

6. Causes a chain reaction that leads to my success

7. Is to be Carried by the servants of God

8. Ths vision will often

When Silas and Timothy arrived from Macedonia, Paul was able to give all his time to preaching and teaching, doing everything he could to persuade the Jews that Jesus was in fact God’s Messiah. But no such luck. All they did was argue contentiously and contradict him at every turn. Totally exasperated, Paul had finally had it with them and gave it up as a bad job. “Have it your way, then,” he said. “You’ve made your bed; now lie in it. From now on I’m spending my time with the other nations.”
In the course of listening to Paul, a great many Corinthians believed and were baptized. One night the Master spoke to Paul in a dream: “Keep it up, and don’t let anyone intimidate or silence you. No matter what happens, I’m with you and no one is going to be able to hurt you. You have no idea how many people I have on my side in this city.” That was all he needed to stick it out. He stayed another year and a half, faithfully teaching the Word of God to the Corinthians. —Acts 18:5-6,8-11 (MSG)
