Root to Fruit - Kindness

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. —Galatians 5:22-23

Kindness:

I always thank God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. —I Corinthians 13:4

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. —Colossians 3:12

Praise be to the Lord,
for he showed his wonderful love to me
when I was in a besieged city. —Psalm 31:21

For great is his love toward us,
and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.

Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness leads you toward repentance? —Romans 2:4

Two ways the Holy Spirit produces kindness:

He makes us more

to others.

Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. —Philippians 2:4

He makes us more

of others.

The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life,
but a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit. —Proverbs 15:4

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. —I Thessalonians 5:11
