Matthew 5:7
What it does mean to be merciful (Hebrews 2:17, Luke 10:36-37)
Who should we show mercy to?
• Sick and hurting
• Hungry
• Helpless and hopeless
• Lost
• Those who need to change
• Our enemies (Matthew 18:26-27)
The reward for mercy is mercy (Psalm 28:6, Titus 3:5, 1 Peter 1:3, Matthew 18:32-35)
How do we learn to give the mercy God desires?
1. It is a fruit of the other kingdom attitudes
2. Don’t just see a need
3. Identify with others
4. Identify your struggles with giving mercy
5. Know God more
