Unwrapping The Gift of Christmas
Pt 1 The Gift of No Limit Living

1 Corinthians 1:3-9 NASB 3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 4 I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus, 5 that in everything you were enriched in Him, in all speech and all knowledge, 6 just as the testimony concerning Christ was confirmed in you, 7 so that you are not lacking in any gift, as you eagerly await the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, 8 who will also confirm you to the end, blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

“I guess I better get ready; something

is bound to happen before too long.”

The problem with thinking this way is that we tend to view life in terms of limitations:

I came that they might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10)
He who believes in me … from his innermost being shall flow rivers of living of water. (John 7:38)

And all things you ask in prayer believing, you shall receive. (Matthew 21:22)

You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. (John 8:32)

He who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. (John 8:12)

He never pretended that life would always be

, but he gave us his word that life with him would be .

I. We Have Been Given Unlimited

.

Gifts of the Spirit are the sign of the

of God.

1 Corinthians 12:7 CSB
Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.

People don’t take into account the way that God uses the gifts of the Spirit to empower people to go beyond their

abilities.

When Paul says “you’ve been blessed with every spiritual gift” he is saying that God gives us the ability to__ rise__ to the occasion when the situation demands.

II. We Have Been Given Unlimited

.

The point is

“How much sin can I get away with and still be a Christian?”

Whatever

we need is available when we need it

*III. We Have Been Given Unlimited *

.

Jesus constantly reminded us that God is

.

When Jesus came into the world, one of the

he brought to us was the gift of no-limit living.
