Heirs to the Kingdom

In Christ, you have become an heir to the Kingdom of God.

Listen, I am telling you a mystery: We will not all fall asleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed. For this corruptible body must be clothed with incorruptibility, and this mortal body must be clothed with immortality. —1 Corinthians 15:51-53 (CSB)

What I am saying, brothers and sisters, is this: Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor can corruption inherit incorruption. —1 Corinthians 15:50 (CSB)

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.” —Matthew 5:3 (CSB)
Blessed are the humble, for they will inherit the earth. —Matthew 5:5 (CSB)
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for the kingdom of heaven is theirs. —Matthew 5:10 (CSB)
The Spirit himself testifies together with our spirit that we are God’s children, and if children, also heirs—heirs of God and coheirs with Christ—if indeed we suffer with him so that we may also be glorified with him. —Romans 8:16-17 (CSB)
And because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba, Father!” So you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then God has made you an heir. —Galatians 4:6-7 (CSB)

Living as a Victor over Sin and Death

When this corruptible body is clothed with incorruptibility, and this mortal body is clothed with immortality, then the saying that is written will take place: Death has been swallowed up in victory. Where, death, is your victory? Where, death, is your sting? —1 Corinthians 15:54-55 (CSB)
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ! —1 Corinthians 15:56-57 (CSB)

Now the works of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, moral impurity, promiscuity, idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and anything similar. I am warning you about these things—as I warned you before—that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. —Galatians 5:19-21 (CSB)

Live with Resilience

Abounding in the Work of the Lord

Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat; I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink; I was a stranger and you took me in; I was naked and you clothed me; I was sick and you took care of me; I was in prison and you visited me.’ —Matthew 25:34-36 (CSB)
