Luke 15: God repeats Himself three times about how He feels about lost people
- Something highly valuable was missing.
- It mattered so much, it warranted an all-out search.
- This means we never lock eyes with someone who doesn’t matter to the Father.
- On finding it, there was a great celebration. LOST PEOPLE MATTER TO GOD.
What the Gospel is Not.
- Beware of a “watered-down” Gospel that has no “teeth.”
- Beware of a rule-laden or over-complex Gospel that strips the message of its simplicity and power.
- Beware of a false Gospel.
a – Christianity without Christ (1 Co. 12:3; 2 Co. 11:4; Gal. 1:6-9)
b – Forgiveness without repentance (Mt. 4:17; Luke 13:3; Acts 3:19-20 & 17:30-31)
c – Salvation without regeneration (Acts 26:20-21; Rom. 6:1-3)
d – Heaven without hell (Dan. 12:2; Rev. 20:15)
