Junk in our garage that we can’t seem to get rid of present themselves in the form of a stronghold.

Main Idea:

God wants to help you address the junk in the garage of your life today.

Why? Because a healthier you is the best thing you can give your family.

James 4:1-10
THE PROBLEM = What is causing the quarrels and fights among you? Don’t they come from the evil desires at war within you?….6b As the Scriptures say, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” THE ANSWER = 7 So

4 things James tells us to do to address the junk in the garage of our life:

1. Humble Yourselves

2. Resist

1 Timothy 6:11
11 Timothy (OR INSERT YOUR NAME), you belong to God, so keep away from all these evil things. Try your best to please God and to be like him.

3. Come Close to God

Matthew 11:28
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. NIV

4. Wash Your Hands. Purify Your Hearts.

God wants to help you address the junk in the garage of your life today.

John 8:4-11
4 “Teacher,” they said to Jesus, “this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5 The law of Moses says to stone her. What do you say?” 6 They were trying to trap him into saying something they could use against him, but Jesus stooped down and wrote in the dust with his finger. 7 They kept demanding an answer, so he stood up again and said, “All right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!” 8 Then he stooped down again and wrote in the dust. 9 When the accusers heard this, they slipped away one by one, beginning with the oldest, until only Jesus was left in the middle of the crowd with the woman. 10 Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?” 11 “No, Lord,” she said. And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.” NLT
