Teach the Children

Psalm 78:1-6

1. Icebreaker: Did your parents transfer “the faith” (Jude 1:3) to you when you were a child? If so, Was the transfer mere morality, or was it “the faith” with the gospel at the center?
   

2. If so, how did they do it? If not, by what means did you come to know Christ and grow in the “faith that was once for all delivered to the saints” (Jude 1:3)?
   

3. If you have children (young or older), how are you, or how did you transfer the faith to them?
   

4. If you don’t have children, how can you help parents transfer “the faith” as a faithful member of Advance?
   

5. How can we help the coming generation to practically “set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments?” Give 3-5 concrete examples.
   

6. How do we help the coming generation transfer “the faith” to the coming generation under them (Psalm 78:6)?
   

7. What are the 5 major questions that show someone’s worldview? Why are having these central questions answered so important?
   

8. What do you think the major “worldview” questions are in your generation? What will they be in the coming generation? How does the Bible speak clearly to these questions with gospel hope?
