Easter
Luke 24:1-12, 36-49
Two ways the resurrection changes things for us…
1) We are free from
Colossians 1:21-22 - Once you were alienated from God and were
enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. But now he has
reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you
holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation
2 Corinthians 5:21 - God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so
that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
2) We know what happens after
John 3:14-15 - [Jesus said,] “Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the
wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who
believes may have eternal life in him.”
John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only
Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal
life.
1 Corinthians 2:9 - That is what the Scriptures mean when they say,
“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what
God has prepared for those who love him.”
Ephesians 2:4-5 - But because of his great love for us, God, who is
rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in
transgressions —it is by grace you have been saved.
