11:2-3 | This is the second announcement that the Lord would give the people of Israel favor in the sight of the Egyptians. Moses even found favor (was very grea**t) among **Pharaoh’s servants.

11:5 | In Egypt, the firstborn of Pharaoh was the presumed heir to the throne; thus, the death of Pharaoh’s son would be both a personal and a national tragedy. Thutmose IV was likely the one who gained the throne as a result of the death of his older brother.
