Summit Weekend

Main Point: It’s good to take a moment to remember who we are and celebrate what God is doing among us!

Ekklesia - a group of people called out of another group of people

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. —1 Peter 2:9

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. —Acts 2:42

Our Mission Statement – Bring people to Jesus Christ, Build them up in that relationship and Send them out to share his love.

Biblical - 2Timothy 3:16-17 – All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Christ-like - Galatians 2:20 – I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Worshipful - Psalm 150:6 – Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD.

Prayerful - 1 Thessalonians 5:17 – Pray continually.

Relational - James 5:16 – Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

Missional - Acts 1:8 – But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Caring - Galatians 6:2 – Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

Intergenerational - Psalm 145:4 – One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts.

You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. —1 Thessalonians 5:5-11

Takeaway – By the grace of God and the power of the Holy Spirit we will continue to be a church where lives are changed.
