Strategies to Overcome a Critical Spirit:
LOVE OVER HATE
1 Peter 3:9, “Never retaliate when someone treats you wrongly, nor insult those who insult you, but instead, respond by speaking a blessing over them—because a blessing is what God promised to give you.” TPT
BUILD-UP INSTEAD OF TEAR DOWN
Romans 15:1-2, “Now, those who are mature in their faith can easily be recognized, for they don’t live to please themselves but have learned to patiently embrace others in their immaturity. 2 Our goal must be to empower others to do what is right and good for them, and to bring them into spiritual maturity.” TPT
Romans 14:19, “So then, make it your top priority to live a life of peace with harmony in your relationships, eagerly seeking to strengthen and encourage one another.”
GIVE GRACE INSTEAD OF GRIEF
Ephesians 4:29, “And never let ugly or hateful words come from your mouth, but instead let your words become beautiful gifts that encourage others; do this by speaking words of grace to help them.” TPT
“…Mercy Triumphs Over Judgement!”
James 2:13 NIV
“Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do.”
– Benjamin Franklin
