Big idea:I will tell a story that I am proud to tell.

The legacy question: What story do I

How we write our story

  1. We write the story of our lives at a time.
  2. The we are wrestling with right now are going to be nothing more than a we tell someday.
  3. God desires for us to be able to tell our without skipping any parts or having to lie about the details.

How to write a God-honoring story Lessons from Joseph’s story
1. Whatever we

in the moment will not be worth what we are forced to into the moments that follow.
2. Joseph to Potiphar’s wife out loud.
3. Joseph refused to but instead to other people’s decisions.

Our goal
We will

our way into a story that we will be to tell.

MY NEXT STEP TODAY IS TO:
 Can you identify a decision in the past that served as the beginning of a new and better chapter in the story of your life? What about a decision that introduced a chapter you would rather forget?

 What was the catalyst for those decisions? Either a decision that sent you in a good direction OR a bad direction.

 Do you know anyone whose story through no fault of their own set them up to write a story characterized by bitterness and resentment, but somehow they decided their story in a healthy direction?

 Confess your regrets so you can experience God’s forgiveness.
