AUGUST 8, 2021: MIRACLES ARE MESSY WEEK 27
August 8, 2021

THE MIRACLE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND THE MESSINESS OF OUR UNDERSTANDING

The Holy Spirit fixed the proximity problem and makes His power personal! (Acts 1:8 & Acts 2:14-24)

He is the promise of the Father! (Luke 24:49 & Acts 1:4-5)

He is GOD from the beginning! (Genesis 1:1-3)

He has a MIND, EMOTIONS, and a WILL! (Romans 8:27, Ephesians 4:30, & 1 Corinthians 12:11)

He brings Freedom so we can live in Liberty! (2 Corinthians 3:17)

He is our Helper! (John 14:16-18)

He is the Spirit of Truth! (John 16:13-15)

He is the Spirit of Power! (Acts 1:8 & Ephesians 3:20)

He convicts of righteousness and declares us free from the law! (John 16:7-12 & Romans 6:14)

He reminds us we are Abba’s child! (Romans 8:14-18)

The Word of God should never be adjusted to you.  You must be the one that adjusts!

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are SPIRIT, and they are life. —John 6:63

From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more. —John 6:66

67 Then Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you also want to go away?”
68 But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.” —John 6:67 - 68> “Holy Spirit guides, reveals, leads, empowers, fills, teaches, testifies, produces, distributes, anoints, washes, renews, unifies, frees, seals, guarantees, quickens, dwells, speaks to, speaks through, transforms, cries, groans, supplies, gives access, strengthens, enables, confesses, moves, knows all things, casts out demons, remembers, appoints, gives faith, distinguishes spirits, prophecies, administrates, heals, gives tongues, produces fruit, gives wisdom, gives knowledge, gives understanding, gives the fear of the Lord, establishes kingdom, and so much more!” —Michael Miller, UpperRoom

The Holy Spirit is not an “it” that we take a hold of for our purposes. He is a person that takes a hold of us for His purposes!

Therefore, brethren, we are debtors – not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. —Romans 8:12

And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” —John 20:22

For John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now. —Acts 1:5> 1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2  And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
3  Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.
4  And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. —Acts 2:1 - 4

15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, as upon us at the beginning.
16 Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, ‘John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’
17 If therefore God gave them the same gift as He gave us when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could withstand God?” —Acts 11:15 - 17

W*hat Jesus was to the disciples, the Holy Spirit is to the entire church!*

And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit —Ephesians 6:18
