Let us keep looking to Jesus. He is the one who started this journey of faith. And he is the one who completes the journey of faith. —Hebrews 12:2a NIrV
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. —Hebrews 12:1-3 NIV

With us knowing that life is a long race, how can we train and prepare ourselves for the journey of life?

Enduring faith is needed to run the race that leads us to Jesus Christ.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses. —Hebrews 12:1a
Now Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. —Hebrews 11:1

Each one of these people witnessed to their faith through their words and actions in their lives.

let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. —Hebrews 12:1b
And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus —Hebrews 12:1c-12:2a

Jesus is our marker and our finish line.

the pioneer and perfecter of faith. —Hebrews 12:2b
He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. —Philippians 1:6

Each one of us, who has placed our faith in Him, will eventually be perfect.

For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. —Hebrews 12:2c

Jesus persevered through this suffering and shame, and forgave them, so He could reach the finish line of His race next to God.

Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. —Hebrews 12:3

When things in life become too difficult and feel overwhelming, to the point where you want to give up and stop believing in Jesus, you need enduring faith to keep running the race.
