Gender & Sexuality Part 6:
How We Should Then Live Within The Church
- There’s a big difference between unrepentant sin and repentant sin.
- Unrepentant sin is unashamed of sin. (1 Cor. 5:1-2)
- Unrepentant sin identifies sin as good. (1 Cor. 5:9-13, 6)
- Repentant sin may stumble towards the light, but unrepentant sin walks in the darkness. (1 John 1:6-10)
- Christians say no to lesser pleasures so we can say yes to the greatest pleasure: Christ Himself. (Titus 2:11-14)
- How should we then relate to one another in the church when it comes to these issues?
- We should be more concerned with protecting the holiness of the church than enforcing holiness on the world. (1 Peter 4:17, 1 Cor. 5:12-13)
- Be full of grace and full of truth, not just one or the other.
