God Wants You Blessed

GOD WANTS US TO ENJOY HIS BLESSINGS

Deuteronomy 8:18 KJV

18 But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

Matthew 6:33 KJV

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Philippians 4:19 KJV

19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

2 Corinthians 8:9 KJV

9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

Mark 10:28-30 KJV

28 Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee.

29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s,

30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

REDEEMED FROM THE CURSE OF POVERTY

Galatians 3:13-14,29 KJV

13 CHRIST HATH REDEEMED US FROM THE CURSE OF THE LAW, BEING MADE A CURSE FOR US: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

14 THAT THE BLESSING OF ABRAHAM MIGHT COME ON THE GENTILES THROUGH JESUS CHRIST; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

29 AND IF YE BE CHRIST’S, THEN ARE YE ABRAHAM’S SEED, and heirs according to the promise.

REDEEMED: to rescue from loss, by payment of a price to recover from the power of another, to ransom…

THE CURSE OF THE LAW:

1. POVERTY: The state of having little or no money and few or no material possessions
2. SICKNESS
3. SIN

Deuteronomy 28:15-17,38-40 KJV

15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:

16 Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field.

17 Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store.

38 Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather but little in; for the locust shall consume it.

39 Thou shalt plant vineyards, and dress them, but shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them.

40 Thou shalt have olive trees throughout all thy coasts, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with the oil; for thine olive shall cast his fruit.

Deuteronomy 28:15-34 NLT

15 “But if you refuse to listen to the LORD your God and do not obey all the commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come and overwhelm you:

16 Your towns and your fields will be cursed.

17 Your fruit baskets and breadboards will be cursed.

18 Your children and your crops will be cursed. The offspring of your herds and flocks will be cursed.

19 Wherever you go and whatever you do, you will be cursed.

20 “The LORD himself will send on you curses, confusion, and frustration in everything you do, until at last you are completely destroyed for doing evil and abandoning me.

21 The LORD will afflict you with diseases until none of you are left in the land you are about to enter and occupy.

22 The LORD will strike you with wasting diseases, fever, and inflammation, with scorching heat and drought, and with blight and mildew. These disasters will pursue you until you die.

23 The skies above will be as unyielding as bronze, and the earth beneath will be as hard as iron.

24 The LORD will change the rain that falls on your land into powder, and dust will pour down from the sky until you are destroyed.

25 “The LORD will cause you to be defeated by your enemies. You will attack your enemies from one direction, but you will scatter from them in seven! You will be an object of horror to all the kingdoms of the earth.

26 Your corpses will be food for all the scavenging birds and wild animals, and no one will be there to chase them away.

27 “The LORD will afflict you with the boils of Egypt and with tumors, scurvy, and the itch, from which you cannot be cured.

28 The LORD will strike you with madness, blindness, and panic.

29 You will grope around in broad daylight like a blind person groping in the darkness, but you will not find your way. You will be oppressed and robbed continually, and no one will come to save you.

30 “You will be engaged to a woman, but another man will sleep with her. YOU WILL BUILD A HOUSE, BUT SOMEONE ELSE WILL LIVE IN IT. You will plant a vineyard, but you will never enjoy its fruit.

31 Your ox will be butchered before your eyes, but you will not eat a single bite of the meat. Your donkey will be taken from you, never to be returned. Your sheep and goats will be given to your enemies, and no one will be there to help you.

32 You will watch as your sons and daughters are taken away as slaves. Your heart will break for them, but you won’t be able to help them.

33 A foreign nation you have never heard about will eat the crops you worked so hard to grow. You will suffer under constant oppression and harsh treatment.

34 You will go mad because of all the tragedy you see around you.

THE BLESSING OF ABRAHAM

Genesis 12:1-4 KJV

1 Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I WILL BLESS THEE, AND MAKE THY NAME GREAT; AND THOU SHALT BE A BLESSING:

3 AND I WILL BLESS THEM THAT BLESS THEE, AND CURSE HIM THAT CURSETH THEE: AND IN THEE SHALL ALL FAMILIES OF THE EARTH BE BLESSED.

4 So Abram departed, as the Lord had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

Genesis 13:2 KJV

2 And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.

RICH: having an abundant supply, prosperous, comfortable, very productive…

THE BLESSING OF ABRAHAM EXPLAINED BY ABRAHAM’S SERVANT

Genesis 24:34-36 NLT

34 “I am Abraham’s servant,” he explained.

35 “And the LORD has greatly blessed my master; he has become a wealthy man. The LORD has given him flocks of sheep and goats, herds of cattle, a fortune in silver and gold, and many male and female servants and camels and donkeys.

36 “When Sarah, my master’s wife, was very old, she gave birth to my master’s son, and my master has given him everything he owns.

THE BLESSING OF ABRAHAM ON ISAAC

Genesis 26:6,12-14 NLT

6 So Isaac stayed in Gerar. (Isaac fully obeyed and trusted God)

12 When Isaac planted his crops that year, he harvested a hundred times more grain than he planted, for the LORD blessed him. (As a result of Isaac’s obedience God blessed him beyond measure and he went from famine to feasting).

13 He became a very rich man, and his wealth continued to grow.

14 He acquired so many flocks of sheep and goats, herds of cattle, and servants that the Philistines became jealous of him.

THE BLESSING OF ABRAHAM ON JACOB AMIDST BEING CHEATED (WEALTH TRANSFER)

Genesis 30:27 NLT

27 “Please listen to me,” Laban replied. “I HAVE BECOME WEALTHY, FOR THE LORD HAS BLESSED ME BECAUSE OF YOU.

Genesis 31:6-9,16 NLT

6 You know how hard I have worked for your father,

7 but he has cheated me, changing my wages ten times. But God has not allowed him to do me any harm.

8 For if he said, ‘The speckled animals will be your wages,’ the whole flock began to produce speckled young. And when he changed his mind and said, ‘The striped animals will be your wages,’ then the whole flock produced striped young.

9 In this way, God has taken your father’s animals and given them to me.

16 All the wealth God has given you from our father legally belongs to us and our children. So go ahead and do whatever God has told you.”

THE BLESSING OF ABRAHAM ON JOSEPH IN HARDSHIP

Genesis 39:2-5 KJV

2 And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.

3 And his master saw that the Lord was with him, and that the Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand.

4 And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.

5 And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that THE LORD BLESSED the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and THE BLESSING OF THE LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.

THE BLESSING WILL HELP YOU OVERCOME YOUR GRIEF

Genesis 41:47-52 NLT

47 As predicted, for seven years the land produced bumper crops.

48 During those years, Joseph gathered all the crops grown in Egypt and stored the grain from the surrounding fields in the cities.

49 He piled up huge amounts of grain like sand on the seashore. Finally, he stopped keeping records because there was too much to measure.

50 During this time, before the first of the famine years, two sons were born to Joseph and his wife, Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera, the priest of On.

51 Joseph named his older son Manasseh, for he said, “GOD HAS MADE ME FORGET ALL MY TROUBLES AND EVERYONE IN MY FATHER’S FAMILY.”

52 Joseph named his second son Ephraim, for he said, “GOD HAS MADE ME FRUITFUL IN THIS LAND OF MY GRIEF.”
