The Look of Love
John 3:16-21

1. God’s Love is
. (Vs. 16a, 17, 1 Tim 2:3-4)
1 Timothy 2:3-4, “This is good, and it pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”
2. God’s Love is
. (Vs. 16b, 1 John 2:2)
1 John 2:2, “He himself is the atoning sacrifice, for our sins, and not only for ours, but also for those of the whole world.”
3. God’s Love is
. (Vs. 16c; Rom 3:23, 6:23)
Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
4. God’s Love isn’t
. (Vs. 18-21, Col 3:25, Heb 6:10, Psa 95a-8b)
Colossians 3:25, “For the wrongdoer will be paid back for whatever wrong he has done, and there is no favoritism.”
Hebrews 6:10, “For God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you demonstrated for his name by serving the saints—and by continuing to serve them.”
Psalm 95:7a-8b, “Today, if you hear his voice: Do not harden your hearts…”
