HOW GOD RESTORES MY SOUL

OVERWHELMED: Part 3
May 3, 2020 | Pastor Bryan

He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
(Psalm 23:3 NKJV)

MY SOUL IS THE PART OF ME THAT , AND .

WHAT DAMAGES MY SOUL?

UNPROCESSED

“Lord, have mercy, because I am in misery. My eyes are weak from so much crying, and my whole being is tired from grief.” (Psalm 31:9 NCV)

UNADDRESSED
“To worry yourself to death with resentment would be a foolish, senseless thing to do,” (Job 5:2 GNT)

“You are only hurting yourself with your anger.” (Job 18:4 GNT)

UNCONFESSED
“My guilt has overwhelmed me like a burden too heavy to bear…I’m bowed down and brought low; all day long I go about mourning.” (Psalm 38:4,6 NIV)

“The Lord gave us a mind and a conscience; we can’t hide from ourselves.” (Proverbs 20:27 GNT)

WHAT SHOULD I DO?

JESUS TO HELP CARRY MY LOAD

When you pass through deep waters, I will be with you; your troubles will not overwhelm you. When you pass the through the fire, you will not be burned; the hard trials that come will not hurt you. (Isaiah 43:2 GNT)

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. (1 Peter 5:7 NLT)

MY OFFENDERS AND FOCUS ON THE FUTURE
Get rid of all bitterness, passion, and anger. No more shouting or insults, no more hateful feelings of any sort. Instead, be kind and tender-hearted to one another, and forgive one another, as God has forgiven you through Christ. (Ephesians 4:31-32 GNT)

THE GOOD SHEPHERD TO FORGIVE MY SINS
Yes, all have sinned…yet now God declares us “not guilty” of offending him if we trust in Jesus Christ, who in his kindness freely takes away our sins. (Romans 3:23-24 TLB)
