Video Discussion

What did you learn from the video?

Do you agree with what he says about: God is, God desires, and that God demands? What do you agree or disagree with?

Do you agree or disagree with his interpretation of the:
seals, The 144,000 people, What we are to be doing
Why or Why Not?

Have you applied Revelation correctly in the past?

Revelation 15 Discussion Question

John saw several different angels in this vision. What were they each doing?

Chapter 15 is about the idea of worship. While the primarily focus on worship is singing, what are some other ways you worship outside of the church?
In Revelation 15:1-2, John describes martyrs from all nations who died for the same faith in Jesus that you hold to today. In what ways do you find it difficult to be a Christian in today’s current (political, cultural, etc.) climate?

The first worship song we see in Scripture is the song of Moses from Exodus 15:1-21. We see a similar version in our passage today in Revelation 15. Read aloud both versions of the Song of Moses, what are the differences between the two? What is the significance of this as it pertains to worship? What does it say about God?

Another way we worship is through declaring God’s perfect character. Is there a work, family or friend situation that you can think of that has caused you to reflect more on God’s character? (Example: In Revelation 12:11, the martyrs were willing to die for Jesus because they trusted in God’s righteous and holy character)

(Verse 5) What is the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony or covenant law? (Exodus 25:8-9)

(Verse 6) What does the white linen the angel wore represent? (Revelation 19:8)

(Verse 8) When will man be able to enter into the dwelling place of God? What does that mean for you today?

How do Christians pour out the seven last plagues upon the world today?

Revelation 16 Discussion Questions

Revelation 16 revolves around the bowl judgments. What do each of these disasters entail? How did the remaining people on earth respond to these outpourings of God’s wrath?

Verses 8-9
What does the phrase “it was allowed” show us?

How do these plagues show us God’s sovereignty over nature?

What are some reasons why God allows natural disasters now?

How did people respond to this plague? What does this reveal to us about them?

What does the phrase “They did not repent and give him glory” show us about God’s purposes in allowing this plague?

Verses 10 - 11
What symbolism is attached to darkness in the Bible?

Since the text says that “its kingdom was plunged into darkness,” do you think this plague will affect believers?

Why does darkness cause such anguish?

How is darkness a taste of hell?

What can we learn about the importance of repentance?

Verses 12-16
Why was the Euphrates dried up? Where were these armies going?

How do these demonic spirits seek to deceive people?

Are demonic spirits doing the same thing today? If so, how can we be on guard about being deceived or influenced by them?

What is the “great day of God the Almighty?”

What does it mean to stay awake? Are you awake?

Verses 17-21
Who is speaking in verse 17? What is done?

What previous judgment is this similar to? How is it similar? How is it different?

Are these one and the same event or two distinct events?

How did this affect Jerusalem?

What will happen to the earth’s topography during this judgment?

How does verse 21 show us that these plagues are literal?

Some people claim that if people could only see evidence of God they would believe. How do these judgments show us this is not the case? Why will people still not repent even in the face of such signs and judgment?

Where is God’s power and victory evident in chapter 15 & 16?
