PRAYER: Begin the time by praying together

DISCUSS
1. This passage shows us that God loves Nebuchadnezzar, the villain in the book of Daniel thus far. How does it feel to be reminded so dramatically that God loves all people?
2. With particular regard to politics, how certain are you that God’s got this? that God is in control?
3. What are the news sources (or people) that influence how you feel (and perhaps cause you to doubt God’s sovereignty) about politics, about cultural issues, about the state of things?
4. Do you need to change the channel, close your laptop, delete Facebook (or some other social media account) so that you can more clearly hear God’s voice?
5. Have you had a Nebuchadnezzar moment in your life? What prompted it…and what changed for you because of it? And/or…what needs to change now?
6. Are you thankful that God is patient and is playing “a long game” in your life?

Ask God for opportunities this week to see others the way he sees them, and to have opportunities to show and share God’s love with others.
