Blessings in His Name - Acts 4:12

much of what we’ve focused on so far is demonic influence and oppression… you have the right, power, jurisdiction, and authority to cast them out in His Name…
Matt 28:18… “all authority in heaven and earth has been given to Me…”
Luke 10:19… “I have given you authority over all the ability of the enemy…”
exousia… power of choice; ability one has been provided; authority, jurisdiction, right…
Mark 9:38-41… “driving out demons in Your Name…”
Luke 10:17… “even the demons submit to us in Your Name…”

about so much more than casting out demons (IHN title slide)… if you desire joy, grace, hope, wisdom, rest, life, healing, freedom, peace, victory, forgiveness, family… it would be helpful to know all the blessings in His Name… pray…
Matt 12:21… “the nations will put their hope in His Name…”
Matt 18:19-20… “where two or three are gathered in My Name… I am there…”
John 1:12… “gave right to become children… to those who believe in His Name…”
John 20:31… “by believing you will have life in His Name…”
Acts 3:16… “His Name has made this man strong… given him perfect health…”
Acts 4:29-30… “signs and wonders are performed in the Name of Jesus…”
Acts 9:21-29… “Saul spoke boldly in the Name of the Lord…”
Acts 19:5… “they were baptized into the Name of the Lord Jesus…”
Rom 1:5… “bring about the obedience of faith… for the sake of His Name…”
Rom 10:13… “everyone who calls upon the Name of the Lord will be saved…”
1Cor 6:11… “washed, sanctified, justified in the Name of our Lord Jesus…”
2Thess 1:12… “that the Name of the Lord Jesus will be glorified by you…”
Rev 22:3-4… “they shall see His face… His Name shall be on their foreheads…”

not sure we can ever figure out how many blessings are in His Name… all starts with this… salvation in His Name… no other blessing compares… narrow, yes… but available to everyone freely… He is THE way, THE truth, THE life…
Matt 1:21-23… “name Him Jesus… for He will save His people from their sins…”
Matt 7:13-14… “enter thru the narrow gate… it leads to life…”
John 3:18… “not believe… condemned already… not believed in the Name…”
John 14:6… “I am THE way, truth, life… no one comes to Father except thru Me…”
Acts 2:21… “everyone who calls on the Name of the Lord will be saved…”
Acts 4:12… “no other Name given to people by which we must be saved…”
Rom 8:32… “did not spare His Son… how will He not freely give us all things…”
1Tim 2:5… “one God and one mediator between God and man… Christ Jesus…”
* Job 9:33… “there is no mediator between us… no one to lay his hand on both of us…”
1John 5:13… “those who believe in the Name will have eternal life…”

baptisms are also a blessing we find in the Name…
Matt 28:19-20… “go… teach all nations… baptizing them into the Name…”
Acts 2:38… “repent… be baptized in the Name of Jesus…”

three baptisms in bible… family, water, Spirit…
1Cor 12:13… “we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body…”
Acts 8:26-40… “I believe Jesus is the Christ… went down into water… baptized him…”
Matt 3:11… “I baptize you with water… He will baptize you with the HS…”

all believers are baptized by HS into body (family)… many choose to be baptized in water by pastor/leader… some choose to be baptized by Jesus into the HS…
Rom 6:3-6… “when we joined with Christ in baptism… we joined in His death…”
Acts 8:12… “believed Good News… as a result, many were (water) baptized…”
Mark 1:8… “He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit…”

family baptism saves… water baptism identifies… spirit baptism empowers… all three are normal… abnormal to not experience all three… not limited to certain denominations… one reason why we’re without power is because so few choose Spirit baptism… difference between HS in us… and us in HS… separate events…
Acts 1:3-8… “baptized with water… will be baptized with HS… receive power…”
Acts 2:38… “be baptized… in Name of Jesus… receive forgiveness… gift of HS…”
Acts 8:12-17… “believed… water baptized… prayed to receive HS…”
Acts 19:1-6… “baptized into Name of the Lord Jesus… HS came on them…”

miracles Jesus did were as a man empowered by the Spirit… not as God… had to be that way or we could not do greater works than He did… we’re not God…
Matt 3:13-17… “after Jesus was baptized… the Spirit descended on Him…”
Luke 4:13-19… “filled with HS power… Spirit is on Me, He has anointed Me…”
John 14:12… “one who believes will do the works I do.. and even greater works…”
Acts 10:36-38… “God anointed Jesus with the HS and with power…”
chrio… furnish Jesus with necessary power; give Christians the gift of the HS…

is there a blessing in His Name that increases our power and authority… yes, be baptized into HS by Jesus Himself… choice, not automatic (1987 to 2009)…
Acts 1:5-8… “be baptized with HS… receive power when HS comes on you…”
dynamis… power, ability; power for performing miracles; moral, financial, physical…
2Cor 1:20-22… “God anointed us… put His Spirit in our hearts…”
chrio… furnish Jesus with necessary power; give Christians the gift of the HS…

and if power and authority aren’t enough… here are some other blessings…
Matt 10:19-20… “don’t worry about what to say… Spirit is speaking thru you…”
Luke 12:12… “the HS will teach you at that very hour what to say…”
Acts 4:7-8… “by what power did you heal… filled with HS… by name of Jesus…”
Acts 13:4-12… “filled with HS… Paul stared at sorcerer, son of devil… people believed…”
Rom 8:26… “when we don’t know what to pray… HS Himself prays for us…”
1Cor 14:2… “speaking directly to God… by the power of the Holy Spirit…”
Eph 5:17-20… “understand what God wants you to do… be being filled with HS… speak to one another with psalms, hymns, spiritual songs… make music in your heart… give thanks…”

these blessings only available in Name of Jesus… how do you receive… pray…
Acts 1:4-8 (wait)… “do not leave… wait for the gift the Father has promised…”
Acts 19:1-6 (be open)… “haven’t heard there was a HS… the HS came down…”
1John 5:14-15 (ask)… “ask anything according to His will… have what you ask…”
Acts 8:4-17 (hands)… “Paul laid hands on them and they received the HS…”

Father, I recognize my need for more of Your power in my life. By faith, I receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit by Jesus Himself. Show me how this power can transform my life and the lives of others. The Holy Spirit is welcome in my life. Thank you. —-
